The scooter, Vespa was born in the spring of 1946 as a combined result of Enrico Piaggio's intuition and Corradino D'Ascanio's design ingenuity. Pontedera factory produced the first fifteen Vespa units, delineating the true meaning of elegance, comfort, and style in transportation leading to the production of a whopping 35,000 units by the end of 1949.
